What is the GCC CSA?

The GCC CSA operates within the Building Services sector (MEP) ensuring that during the entire life cycle of a project, the commissioning process is competently managed and executed to the highest international standards.

Why the CSA?

Client Benefits:

With international development of our policies and procedures spanning a 30+ year period and being fully recognised by professional bodies such as CIBSE and BSRIA, all our clients are safeguarded in the knowledge that any of our accredited members have been vetted by our experienced committee. Furthermore members have undergone extensive training and development programme(s) ensuring any project is delivered to the highest quality and standard.

Member Benefits:

As a member of the CSA, you are recognised as being part of a professional association. We are the only body in the GCC and UK aimed specifically at developing and improving the commissioning function. We provide our members with professionally developed Distance Learning Courses (DLC’s) and help to guide you through from first entry level 1, through to grade 6 as a competent Commissioning / Project Manager.

Who operates the GCC CSA ?

The operations are run by dedicated, experienced commissioning professionals that form the GCC Committee. Each individual has met a pre determined selection criteria and is willing to invest their personal time to provide training and support on technical matters for its members, and the marketing of the CSA.

How to become a member of the CSA?

The CSA is based around four different types of membership:

Corporate membership is aimed at organisations whose main or only business is the commissioning of building services systems.

Associate Membership is aimed at organisations that are connected with the industry, but whose main business may be outside the pure commissioning activity, e.g. installation companies, equipment suppliers, instrumentation suppliers, consultant engineers, etc.

Individual Membership is aimed at those field engineers who are actively involved in the commissioning process. These may be from the mechanical, electrical or controls fields.

Individual Associate Membership is aimed at individuals who are not conducting commissioning but are affiliated to commissioning through other trades, i.e. electrical, mechanical engineering. This membership will not be graded, but a Certificate of Membership will be issued and the Association’s benefits afforded, as with other categories.
