2021 at a Glance - Commissioning Specialist Associaltion

Throughout 2021, the GCC CSA Committee has remained optimistic, focused, and worked tirelessly to continue to raise our profile, educate and deliver value to the Middle East’s commissioning industry.

We have raised awareness by a complete refresh of the GCC website, held meetings with the region’s leading media facilitators, editorials have been prepared and subsequently published. Similarly, our Membership Review Team have had their work cut out with the onboarding of new members, which has seen a sharp rise over the same period last year. Collectively the Committee have hosted several Grade 4 Exams and will continue to do so as we move into 2022. One significant success oure Chairman Lee Hewitt has been involved with, is the preparation and subsequent release of the revised Commission Managers grading system catering for applicants from all sectors of the industry.

We continue to study the Development of Commissioning Standards where we focused to produce benchmark Commissioning Specification(s) that clearly define expected scope and output from commissioning specialists.

2022 Objectives: Our objectives are to help ensure all our clients and members realize the benefits of engaging a CSA graded specialist by continuing to raise awareness and professional standards within the built environment.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the team at CSA UK, particularly Julie Parker, Joanne Rowe and Tracey Underhay, for their support provided to the GCC Chapter, and my fellow GCC colleagues:
